π How to Upload Numeric Answer-Type Questions
Method 1: Manual Upload via Question Editor
- Upload the question using the same format as a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ).
Upload questions using the instructions in this guide:
- After uploading:
- Go to the Questions section.
- Edit the desired question.
- Change the Question Type to βNumeric.β
- Set the Marks to 100% to ensure proper grading.
Method 2: Bulk Upload Using Word and Excel
Step 1: Upload Questions

Note: The format for uploading numeric questions in a Word document remains the same.
You can refer to the following examples:
- The first question contains a single numeric answer.
- The second question contains two numeric correct answers.
Step 2: Upload the Answer Key
- Go to the Questions section.
- Click on Bulk Add Questions.
- In the dropdown, select Bulk Upload Answers.
Step 3: Prepare the Excel Answer Key
Here is the format for the answer key Excel:
Note: In Excel, you may indicate only "A" even when there are multiple correct answers.
Column | Description |

A | Question Number β The question for which the answer needs to be updated. |
B | Correct Answer(s) β For numeric answers, enter "A" only (even for multiple correct answers). |
C | Subject (Optional) β Subject must already exist in the system. If not, it wonβt be assigned. |
D | Marks (Optional) β If left blank, marks can be assigned during exam creation. |
E | Negative Marks (Optional) β Same as above. |
F | Type β Set to "Numeric" for numeric answer-type questions. |
G | Difficulty Level (Optional) β Accepted values: Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard |

After Upload:
Once uploaded, your numeric questions and answers will be reflected in the system correctly, ready to be used in your exams.

After uploading in the answer key, the question and answer will appear as follows:
