Removing Invisible Formatting Marks in Word Documents

To remove invisible formatting marks from a Word document, follow these steps:

  • Open the Word document containing the formatting marks.
  • Go to the "Home" tab on the Ribbon.
  • Look for the "Paragraph" group.
  • Click on the "Show/Hide" button. It looks like a paragraph symbol (ΒΆ) and is usually located in the "Paragraph" group. Clicking on this button will toggle the visibility of formatting marks.
  • Once clicked, the formatting marks, such as spaces, tabs, paragraph breaks, and other non-printing characters, will become visible.
